Evolving neighbourhoods need master plan

This article speaks about Vancouver , however isn’t it time the North Shore municipalities work together on a Master Plan?  When asked directly at the last City Shaping exercise (May) a planner in the City of North Vancouver told several Voices members  that   “CNV planners  never speak to the other planners on the North Shore”.  Isn’t it past time that we demand that the three work together on a Master Plan and involve citizens?

Do you know that the District of North Vancouver is planning in excess of 4200 units in Lower Capilano and Lower Lynn, plus Edgemont and Lynn Valley.  Do you know that the City’s updated OCP will likely be based on directed input from less than 241 individuals who completed the feedback forms in May?

We want LIVABLE GROWTH that includes the development of parks, recreation facilities, schools, medical facilities, transportation and traffic capacity at the same time as development occurs, not as a long-delayed afterthought, paid for through higher taxes.
