Money for favours graphic, CHW The ironies and remarkable parallels were obvious to anyone listening to the debate on two motions on pipelines and tanker traffic on May 15 at Vancouver City Council. (See topics and video links here .)
What would happen if we were to change some of the names?

Replace “National Energy Board” with “Planning Department”
Substitute “Kinder Morgan” with “Developer”
Change “Parliament” to “City Hall”

Vancouver City Hall is treating citizens of Vancouver similar to how the national government treats the City of Vancouver. Yet the pot calls the kettle black.

What are the parallels between the federal government and Vancouver’s civic government?   1. Comparisons are of little use these days unless you include the money from Big Green – you know like Tides Foundation of San Francisco product Gregor Robertson.
