Response from the City to “Elephant in the Room”

It seems that the Mayor chose to ignore the ‘elephant in the room’ and, contrary to section 4 in the City bylaw, chose not to address the Point of Privilege.
“Elephant in the room” or “Elephant in the living room” is an Englishmetaphoricalidiom for an obvious truth that is either being ignored or going unaddressed. The idiomatic expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss.
It is based on the idea that an elephant in a room would be impossible to overlook.
