  1. When you say “City Council” isn’t interested, let’s be clear. Only Mayor Mussatto, councillors Keating, Buchanan and Back voted to keep the possibility of a casino open. These 4 stick together like Gorilla Glue so the 4-3 vote we’ve seen on every big development over the past 2 years will probably apply to the casino.
    There is nothing the 3 minority votes on council can do so it’s up to the public who don’t want a casino here in our city to turn up the volume , SPEAK UP! and be heard in great numbers. It really is up to us.

    We do not need a casino in North Vancouver!! People with a gambling
    addiction don’t want a casino in a residential area. If they want to
    gamble they can go to Las Vegas. A casino will attract gangs, and more traffic. What we need are more affordable accommodations but the
    City council isn’t interested in that!!
